Christchurch: August 4
Why I give a s#*t and what I do about it
Tuesday August 4, 2015
5.45-6.45pm
Andrew Just
In this informal discussion Andrew Just talks about motivation and action. The projects Andrew finds himself working on, and the roles he plays, often surprise him and don’t necessarily fit with his previous preconceptions about what an ‘architect’ does or what ‘architecture’ is. As those understandings have been thrown into question, he has become more aware of the skills architects do have and the roles architects can play. This fluidity feeds into ideas about developing a sense of meaning, citizenship, organisations, professionalism, architecture and the city. CPD Points available to NZIA members.
Andrew Just is a protagonist, servant, activist, citizen, facilitator/enabler and architecture graduate. He is a co-founder of urban regeneration initiative Gap Filler, and of architecture practice Field.
