Christchurch: August 11
Future of Places: co-creation in city-making
Tuesday August 11, 2015
5.30-6.30pm
Ryan Reynolds
Ryan recently spent three months in Copenhagen, where he was invited to teach at Copenhagen University and consult with local planners, architects and urban community groups based on his experience as co-founder and chair of Christchurch’s Gap Filler Trust. The reason is clear: the global trend of co-creation is expanding, as progressive cities like Copenhagen look to grow from the current practice where specific sites are developed through community-led co-creation to longer-term citywide strategies where co-creation is a (semi)formal part of every planning process. Ryan will talk about a few of the experiments underway in Copenhagen, and why the Danes have so much interest in Christchurch…
Dr Ryan Reynolds is is a strategic advisor for Life in Vacant Spaces; chair of Gap Filler Trust, itinerant lecturer and teacher and a consultant.
